When people talk about the 2030 FIFA World Cup, most conversations focus on stadiums, tourism, and economic growth.
But as a Moroccan student, I see something even more important: opportunity.
The World Cup is not just a sporting event. It is a global project that will bring together millions of visitors, thousands of organizations, and countless opportunities for young people.
The question is not whether Morocco will benefit from the World Cup.
The real question is: will Moroccan students be ready for the opportunities it creates?
Over the next few years, skills such as communication, English, digital marketing, project management, event organization, and leadership will become increasingly valuable. Companies, associations, startups, and international organizations will need young people who can solve problems and work with diverse teams.
This is why I believe students should start preparing now.
Instead of waiting for opportunities to arrive, we should focus on developing skills, building networks, participating in community projects, and creating our own initiatives.
The World Cup will last only a few weeks.
The skills we develop before it arrives can benefit us for a lifetime.
As Morocco prepares for 2030, I hope more students begin to see themselves not just as spectators, but as contributors to the country’s future.
